Some examples are the collaboration with director Ruben van Leer on dance films Instrument (2010), There and Not There (2013), Type/Dynamics (2015) and Symmetry a dance-opera film shot inside CERN, the largest experimental particle physics facility in the world.
Most his works since 2004 are in collaboration with designer Peter Bilak. When Timulak left NDT and became an independent choreographer, he asked Bilak to design the sets for his dance creations and contribute to the concept development of those pieces. Their longstanding collaboration led to the birth of Make Move Think (2017), a foundation for interdisciplinary artistic collaboration, where they now work with the urban designer Luisa Calabrese and cinematographer Hector Salgado.
